Think for a while

If you had the chance to talk to the main political leaders in the world, what would you tell them?.
Here is a video of a girl who talked about really important issues. Topics that all of us should be worried about.
I hope it makes you think -at least for five minutes.

Halloween at school

Halloween was celebrated in our school.

Students from ESO have been decorating their classrooms with some halloween decoration in English lessons. Bats, pumpkins, ghosts, witches, wolves, full moons ... have been with us for a week. They have made a nice job and they have enjoyed too.
We had a nice time making pumpkins, didn't we?

More scary stories

A Scary Story, By Elisabeth Ventura, 2º ESO C

This story took place in a park in Los Angeles more than ten years ago. A girl and her boyfriend were walking by that park and they found a ring on the ground. The girl put the ring in her finger and suddenly a man appeared shouting in a crazy way . He told the girl that he had put a curse on her and it would prosecute her for life.

That night the girl hid and nobody knew anything else from her since then.

People say that every year, the fifteenth of October she comes back to carry away somebody with her.

A Scary Story, By Nazaret Sánchez, 2º ESO C

Last night I was with my friends. We were going for a walk to the park when we saw a book on the grass.

It was a scary book about two boys who died in a traffic accident. They were studying 2º ESO. They were travelling with their family to Italy by car.

When we opened the book we saw a strange light in the dark sky.

The light had the same shape as the two children.

Twins, By Javier García, 2º ESO C

A couple with two twin daughters usually went walking to the park.

The twin daughters were six. They always walked holding her mother's hands .

One day, when they were crossing the street, they saw a car passing really fast.

They stopped in the middle of the street, terrified.

Suddenly their mother loosed the girls leaving them in the middle of the street.

The car ran over them and the girls died.

The funeral was very sad.

The mother decided not to have more children, but five years later the woman got pregnant of twins.

When the girls were six years old, they were walking to the park with their mother and when they were going to cross the street, the girls said:

"Don't loose us, mum. This place is where you killed us"

The Strange Woman, By Gloria Gordillo, 2º ESO C

It was a man that had a flock of sheep and was living in a hut in the middle of a mountain.

A night when it was very cold and snowy someone knocked on his door and he (very fightened) went to the door and opened it

Then he saw a woman dressed in white with a handkerchief in her head so he could not see her face.

He invited her to go near the fire and began to speak but the woman didn't answer.

The man was looking down when he saw that the woman, instead of having normal legs, had goat legs.

Then he started to run terrified and he never returned to his hut.

Do you know this woman?
Her name is Susan Boyle and she is a real success in Britain at the moment.
She became famous in the tv programme "Britain's got talent" and I really like her voice.... and some other aspects I would like to talk about in class.
I hope you enjoy this video!
